101 - 3HRS NAIROBI CITY TOUR
A guided tour of the city of Nairobi will include the city market
and its surrounding bazaars, the Parliament buildings and Kenyatta
Conference centre, the Railway museum, and the University. The tour
culminates in a visit to the Snake Park and National museum with its
wealth of local interest covering paleontology, tribal artifacts,
the paintings of the late joy Adamson and the political history of
Kenya. |

102 - 4HRS BOMAS OF KENYA
Enjoy colorful performances by dancers from different tribes including
Maasai, Samburu and Turkana. During the interval visit the recreat
ed African villages and see the life-style of Kenya's many tribes. Many
different handicraft items are also on display and may be purchased.

103 - 4 HRS NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK
There was a time, not so long ago, when Lions roamed the streets of
Nairobi. Nowadays they can still be found only 10 km away from the
city centre in Nairobi national park. This small park contains most
of the animals to be seen on a more extended safari such as Rhino,
Buffalo, Cheetah, Zebra, Giraffe and plenty of Antelope and Gazelle. |

104 - 4 HRS KAREN BLIXEN MUSEUM AND GIRAFFE CENTRE
At the foot of the Ngong hills lies the former home of Karen Blixen, now
preserved as a museum. Furniture, artifacts and photographs from her days
as a pioneer coffee farmer are on display. Afterwards, continue to the
nearby Giraffe centre where a family of the rare Rothschild Giraffe can
be fed and photographed from a platform at Giraffe's-eye level. Afternoon
tea is served at the centre before returning to Nairobi.

105 - 1 DAY LAKES NAKURU AND NAIVASHA
Drive from Nairobi through Kikuyu farmlands to the edge of the Great
Rift Valley, stopping to admire the breathtaking views ahead. Descend
the escarpment and continue along the rift floor to Lake Nakuru, famous
for its seasonal concentrations of Flamingo and the centrepiece of
a delightful wildlife park. Lunch is taken at a lodge overlooking
the lake. Return to Nairobi later in the day, stopping en route at
Lake Naivasha for afternoon tea. |

106 - 2 DAY AMBOSELI DAY 1 NAIROBI-AMBOSELI
Drive South through Maasai country to Amboseli National park, situated
right at the foot of Mt Kilimanjaro. After lunch enjoy a siesta before
an exciting game drive until dusk. Dinner and overnight at a safari lodge.
Day 2 AMBOSELI-NAIROBI Rise at dawn for early morning game viewing and
hopes of seeing the snow-capped peak of Mt Kilimanjaro at its best in
the morning light. Further game viewing amongst the Elephant, Buffalo,
Hippo and plains game. After lunch return to Nairobi, arriving early evening.

107 - 1.5 DAYS TREE HOTEL DAY 1 NAIROBI-TREE HOTEL
Head North towards Mt Kenya and the Aberdares. Lunch at the Outspan hotel
or Aberdare Country Club (if staying at Mountain lodge drive direct to
the lodge for lunch). Transfer to one of the forest lodges or as they
are popularly known "tree hotels" Treetops, the Ark or Mountain lodge.
Set high above the ground and overlooking floodlit waterholes, visitors
to these treehotels can observe the animals gathering to drink and lick
salt well into the night.
DAY 2 (TreeHotel-Nairobi) After breakfast return to Nairobi, arriving
before lunch. Please note; 1. Single rooms not available at Treetops.
2. Children under 8 not accepted at Treetops.

108 LUNCH/DINNER
(Carnivore Restaurant) Lunch or dinner at Nairobi's famous Carnivore
restaurant makes an ideal welcome or farewell occasion. The atmosphere
is always festive and the food excellent. The menu is succulent smorgasbord
of barbecued meat of many different kinds including game meat served
straight from the spit. Transfers to or from Nairobi hotels are included.
