DAY 2 (Treehotel-Lake Nakuru) After breakfast leave for Lake Nakuru via Thomson's falls where there is a stop for photographs. Lunch at a lakeside lodge. Afternoon game viewing and bird watching by the Lake, one of the world's greatest bird sanctuaries. There are over 350 species of birds including huge numbers of Flamingo that dominate the lake most of the year round. Overnight at lake Nakuru or Lion Hill lodge. DAY 3 (Lake Nakuru-Masai Mara) Morning drive ascending the Rift valley escarpment to the rolling grasslands of the Masai Mara game reserve. Lunch is followed by an afternoon game drive and hopes of spotting the "Big Five". Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Leopard and Buffalo. Overnight at a lodge or luxury tented camp. DAY 4 (Masai Mara) Early morning, mid-morning and afternoon game viewing. The Mara is actually the Northern tip of the Serengeti and is home to huge numbers of plains game such as Wildebeest, Zebra and Antelope as well as large populations of Lion. The Mara River, which runs through the reserve is home to many Hippo and Crocodile. Overnight at the lodge or camp. DAY 5 (Masai Mara-Nairobi) Return to Nairobi, arriving before lunch. TKS

Bird life in Amboseli is prolific and the scenery a remarkable contrast of arid scrubland and lush swamps. Further game viewing after breakfast. Lunch at the lodge is followed by time for a siesta with a game viewing drive later in the afternoon. Overnight at the lodge. DAY 3 (Amboseli-Nairobi-Lake Nakuru) Morning drive to Nairobi for lunch then continue Northwest, descending into the Rift valley to Lake Nakuru. Game viewing beside the shores of the lake, famous as a frequent haunt of millions of Flamingo and truly an ornithologist's paradise. Overnight at a lodge overlooking the lake. DAY 4 (Lake Nakuru-Masai Mara) Morning drive via Narok to Masai Mara game reserve, Kenya's portion of the vast Serengeti ecosystem. Afternoon game viewing in this fascinating wildlife paradise. Spend the next two nights at a lodge or luxury tented camp. DAY 5 (Masai Mara) A full day spent game viewing in Masai Mara. Look out for Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Leopard and Buffalo as well as Cheetah and many more lesser known animals. Equally as spectacular are the huge herds of plains game such as Wildebeest, Zebra and Antelope. 1 (Nairobi-Samburu/Shaba) Depart from Nairobi driving through picturesque
Kikuyu countryside to the slopes of Mount Kenya for lunch. Descend from
the verdant Highlands to the arid plains of Samburu with stunning views
all the way. Spend 2 nights at a lodge or luxury camp nestling amongst
the Doum palms beside the Uaso Nyiro River. DAY 2 (Samburu/Shaba) A full day game viewing in the reserve. In addition to Lion and Elephant, Samburu is well known for its unusual species of game such as the dainty Gerenuk, Reticulated Giraffe, handsome Oryx and Grevy's Zebra with its large ears and fine stripes. During the evening it is possible to see Crocodile and Leopard feeding. DAY 3(Samburu/Shaba-TreeHotel) Return to the Highlands, crossing the Equator en route. Lunch at a country hotel before transferring to one of the tree-hotels, hidden away in the forested slopes of Mt Kenya and the Aberdares. As dusk falls, animals can be observed gathering to drink at the flood-lit waterhole overlooked by the lodge. Overnight at Treetops/Ark/Mountain lodge.
